Although I really liked the previous American Racing Torq Thrust II rims, I got kinda tired of them. They were also just too common around here on every american car.. But, it was when I did the C5 Z06 brake swap that the need for new rims became a necessity.
As described in the brake swap section, the C5 brakes pushed the wheels out by about 1/4" and that was just enough to make a tight fit too tight, but most important, it made the car track wayyy too much.

So, I was in the market for new wheels when the opportunity arose. Jeff Blackburn (aka Kandied91z in the thirdgen communities) was putting his beautiful candy red '91 Z28 back to stock before selling, spring 2005. Amongst the many great parts he sold, was also a set of Boze Stinger wheels. I had always loved these rims on his car, and saw the opportunity to get my hands on a rare set of beautiful rims for a good price. Jeff and I came to an agreement and soon the wheels were on the way across the pond from Michigan to Norway. And let me tell you - I was one pleased, happy and excited thirdgen'er a late April day 2005 when the postman rang and said he was on his way. They looked even better in person! Well, enough about that, let's get into the details.

I guess a lot of you are mostly interested in the specs, so here they are:
Size: 18"x8" and 18"x10"
Backspacing Rear: 6.75"
Backspacing Front: 4.75"
Tires: Toyo Proxies T1S
Size Rear: 285/35x18
Size Front: 245/40x18
Bolt Circle: 5x4.75"

Jeff ran these wheels without spacers, but he was also running a full set of Baer brakes. The fronts fit perfect on my car due to the C5 brake swap. However, on the rears I decided to use spacers to get them a little out in the wheel well. They were just a bit too tucked in for my taste with the stock rear brakes. So, I went with 17mm (.67") spacers which pushed them out to perfectly match the fronts. Check the pictures on the right of both with and without rear spacers.
